Vet Checklist & Vaccination Schedule for Boxer Puppies
Your puppy leaves us with a clean bill of health — but staying healthy requires ongoing care. Here's your complete veterinary roadmap from day one through adulthood.
✅ At handover you receive: Vaccination certificate, vet health clearance, microchip registration papers, and parasite treatment records. Photograph everything for doggy daycare and boarding bookings!
Vaccination Schedule
6 Weeks — C3 Vaccine
Status: Already completed by us
Covers distemper, hepatitis, and parvovirus. This first shot gives initial protection while puppies are still with us.
10 Weeks — C5 Vaccine
Action needed: Book your vet visit now
Adds protection against kennel cough (bordetella and parainfluenza). This is full coverage — book as close to 10 weeks as possible.
14–16 Weeks — Final Booster
Action needed: Your vet will advise timing
The final vaccination that completes immunity. After this (plus 1–2 weeks for immunity to fully develop), your puppy can explore the world safely.
⚠️ Important safety note: Avoid dog parks, pet stores, or contact with unknown dogs until after the final booster. Parvovirus is a real risk for unvaccinated puppies, and it's everywhere. Safe play with known, fully vaccinated dogs is absolutely fine during this period.
Worming Schedule
Your puppy has been wormed every two weeks since birth. Continue this schedule:

Pro tip: Set calendar reminders. Puppies pick up worms easily from soil, grass, and faeces — regular worming is non-negotiable.
Other Parasite Protection
- Flea & tick prevention: Start monthly prevention from 8 weeks — ask your vet for breed-appropriate options
- Heartworm: Essential in many areas. Options include monthly tablets, topical treatments, or annual injections (discuss with your vet)
- Intestinal worms: Covered by your all-wormer, but watch for symptoms like weight loss, dull coat, or scooting
When to Call the Vet
Beyond scheduled visits, call your vet (or us) if you notice:
- Lethargy or loss of appetite lasting more than 24 hours
- Vomiting or diarrhoea (especially with blood)
- Difficulty breathing, coughing, or excessive panting
- Limping or reluctance to move/play
- Swollen belly, straining to urinate, or any discharge
- Anything that just feels "off" — trust your instincts
